Cyberport's fourth annual Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum opened today with more than 300 attendees listening to an elite group of speakers sharing their experiences in digital technology.
The forum is focusing on digital cinematic creation.
Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology (Communications & Technology) Francis Ho opened the forum saying it has become the signature event in line with the Government's Digital 21 Strategy.
"This forum facilitates the growth and development of the local digital entertainment industry to make Hong Kong a leading digital entertainment hub," Mr Ho said.
The twelve speakers, global pioneers and leaders in computer animation and visual effects, included AWOL Pictures (US) CEO and the 1997 Oscar winner for Titanic Scott Ross, Rainmaker Entertainment (Canada) CEO and producer of The Da Vinci Code and Night at the Museum Warren Franklin, Imagi International (HK) Executive Vice-President and creative contributor of CG works in Batman Forever, Madagascar and the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Paul Wang, and Principal of The Light Exchange (US), and executive producer of Oscar winner Happy Feet Edward Jones.
