About 30 licence-issuing departments have joined the Efficiency Unit and the Economic Analysis & Business Facilitation Unit to implement a programme to further improve licensing processes and the business environment, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau says.
The Be the Smart Regulator programme will improve the transparency and business-friendliness of Hong Kong's licensing regime, while reducing the business sector's compliance costs.
The measures under study include setting up business liaison groups and providing clear licensing guides.
