Sir Edward Youde scholarships open
*

The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund Council is inviting applicants for its 2008-09 fellowships and scholarships for overseas studies, including an award for disabled students. The closing date is September 28.

The fellowships and scholarships encourage the best students to pursue further education in reputable institutions overseas.

Successful candidates are expected to have a strong sense of commitment to Hong Kong and be ready to contribute significantly to the community upon graduation.

The fellowships are for studies leading to postgraduate degrees either by research or by coursework; the scholarships are for studies leading to undergraduate degrees.

The fellowship is worth $283,000 a year for up to three years for a doctoral degree, or two years for a Master's degree, while the scholarship is worth $262,000 a year for up to three years.

Application forms can be downloaded here. For enquiries, call 2150 6097 or 2150 6098.
