Voter registration to close May 16
*

The Registration & Electoral Office urges eligible people to register as voters by May 16, as only registered electors can vote in the Legislative Council election on September 7.

Hong Kong permanent residents holding an identity document who have reached 18 years of age and ordinarily reside in Hong Kong are eligible to be registered.

Registered electors do not need to register again, but they should report any change in address or other registration particulars to the office by June 30.

Forms for voter registration and changing particulars are available here. Applications can be sent to the office at 10/F, Guardian House, 32 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai, or faxed to 2891 1180.

Applicants should call 2891 1001 if they do not receive a reply within 14 days.
