Dr Leung Nai-kong has been appointed Chairman of the Council of the Academy for Performing Arts while Moses Cheng and Fanny Lai have been named as the council's deputy chairman and treasurer.

The appointments are for one year from January 1.

Robert Chan, Chan Wai-kai, Charles Chow, Vincent Fang, William Leung and David Pong have been appointed council members for two years.

William Au, Chang Yuk-mui, Grace Lam, Lena Lee, Ada Wong, the Secretary for Home Affairs or his representative, and the Secretary for Education & Manpower or his representative have been named as council members for three years.
