Kevin Yeung supports graduates

July 12, 2017

Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung visited the Hong Kong Management Association K S Lo College today to support students receiving their Diploma of Secondary Education Examination results.

Mr Yeung told them not to be scared of failure as examinations are just a part of life.

He said there are diverse education and career paths available for graduates.

He encouraged them to persist in pursuing their goals.

Mr Yeung added the Government has recently outlined a package of new measures to improve education quality, including a non-means-tested annual subsidy of $30,000 for eligible full-time self-financing undergraduate students.

He reiterated he hopes the Legislative Council Finance Committee will approve the funding for the measures by the end of the current LegCo year so the initiatives can be implemented in the new school term in September.
