6 more schools accept HK results

November 10, 2016

Six more Mainland higher education institutions will exempt Hong Kong students from taking the joint entrance examination, bringing the total number to 90.

The Education Bureau today welcomed the announcement by the Ministry of Education on the Scheme for Admission of Hong Kong Students to Mainland Higher Education Institutions 2017.

The scheme will admit students based on their results in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination and exempt them from taking the Joint Entrance Examination for Mainland Institutions.

Candidates sitting for the HKDSE Examination in 2017 can enrol in the scheme.

To give students and parents a better understanding of the scheme, the 2016 Mainland Higher Education Expo will be held at the Convention & Exhibition Centre on December 17 and 18.
