Secretary for Education Eddie Ng will attend the Guangdong-Hong Kong Sister School Contract Signing Ceremony and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Principals' Forum 2016 in Guangdong on November 4.
Mr Ng will join leaders from the Office of Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan Affairs of the Ministry of Education, the Education Department of Guangdong and the Shenzhen Government to officiate at the contract signing ceremony to witness the pairing up of 70 Hong Kong schools with their Guangdong counterparts.
He will also attend the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Principals' Forum, which deepens education exchanges and co-operation among Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau. Over 300 academics as well as primary and secondary school principals from the three places will participate in it.
Under Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung will be the Acting Secretary for Education during Mr Ng's absence.
