Secretary for Education Eddie Ng yesterday arrived in San Francisco for education exchanges.
Mr Ng first visited the Microsoft Technology Centre in Silicon Valley and met its management to learn about the new developments of e-learning and innovation education.
He also saw demonstrations on applying technology in education, such as wearable computers, motion tracking techniques and 3D printing.
He then had a gathering with Hong Kong students and alumni of top universities in California, including four students benefiting from the Scholarship for Excellence Scheme.
He invited the students to come back to Hong Kong to pursue their career and serve the community after graduation.
Mr Ng will return to Hong Kong tomorrow.
