The Standard Working Hours Committee has received 398 written submissions in the working hours policy directions second-stage consultation.
The consultation was held from April to July, during which the committee had organised 19 consultation activities.
Speaking after the committee meeting today, Chairman Dr Leong Che-hung said the committee was briefed by the commissioned independent consultant on the major findings of the analysis of views under the second-stage consultation.
He was disappointed that the six Labour Advisory Board employee members did not attend the meeting today, and appealed again to all members to actively participate in the drafting of the report on standard working hours to the Government.
Meanwhile, Dr Leong welcomed the appointment of Jimmy Kwok to the committee as an ex-officio member by virtue of his Labour Advisory Board membership.
