Student career programme launched

May 04, 2016

The Labour Department today launched the "Career Let's go" programme to help secondary school graduates enter the job market.

It provides a series of pre-employment training and employment services for graduates to grasp the latest employment information, devise a career plan and enhance their employability.

The programme is expected to attract 35,000 participants.

The department has provided a large number of suitable job vacancies and different job fair details on the programme's webpage.

Graduates are also encouraged to join the Youth Employment & Training Programme which provides one-stop comprehensive pre-employment and on-the-job training without any pre-set quota.

The department will organise the Award Ceremony of Most Improved Trainees of YETP 2016 & Concert in August to showcase the trainees' progress after joining the programme. It will launch a new programme year and encourage graduates to embrace challenges and strive for their dreams.

Youth Employment Start (Y.E.S) will also launch the "Rejoice In Career Path" programme to enhance graduates' job-hunting skills, helping them to unleash their potential at work and learn the true value of working through a series of training courses, talks and an interactive drama.
