The Civil Aid Service's Recruit Training Certificate Programme has been recognised under the Qualifications Framework as meeting accreditation standards at Level 3.

It is the first training programme of auxiliary forces to be awarded vocational accreditation.

Offered by the CAS Training School, the Certificate in Auxiliary Forces Basic Training Programme (Civil Defence) is for new recruits to meet service standards.

The programme comprises five core modules, including induction training, first aid, footdrills, basic emergency rescue as well as search and rescue operations.

This year new recruits will be awarded the certificate and deployed to various units for duty after completing the programme and passing the assessments.

The school will arrange the training for over 200 newly recruited members from May to December and intends to hold the graduation parade on December 18.
