3 institutions join internship scheme

December 01, 2015

Three higher education institutions have joined the ASEAN internship scheme for Hong Kong higher education students, bringing the total number of participating institutions to 11.

The scheme was launched in 2014 by the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Singapore to widen the international perspective of Hong Kong students and enhance bilateral relations between Hong Kong and ASEAN.

So far 290 higher education students from the eight University Grants Committee-funded institutions have taken up internships in participating organisations in eight ASEAN countries. They include private companies, international organisations, academic institutions, think tanks, and arts and cultural organisations.

The three institutions joining the scheme are the Academy for Performing Arts, Shue Yan University and Hang Seng Management College.
