P1 applications to open

August 31, 2015

Primary One admission system application forms will be available from September 2 to 25, the Education Bureau announced today.

Children born on or before December 31, 2010, can apply, except those who have attended primary schools or those who have been allocated a Primary One place.

The forms, explanatory notes and information leaflets are available from kindergartens, childcare centres, district offices, and the Education Bureau's regional education offices and School Places Allocation Section.

The completed form together with supporting documents should be submitted directly to a government or an aided primary school of the parents' choice between September 21 and 25.

Only one application should be submitted for each child. If parents are found to have applied to more than one government or aided primary school, their application will be void.

If parents apply only for the Primary One admission central allocation they can return the completed application forms with supporting documents from September 21 to January 29 to the bureau's School Places Allocation Section, Office 2, 2/F Manulife Financial Centre, 223 Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong.

From September 2 people can call 2891 0088 or click here for more information.

The Home-School Co-operation Committee will also publish the Primary School Profiles 2015 online on the same day, providing basic information on more than 500 local primary schools to assist parents choosing a suitable school for their children.
