Gov't sets up CX labour talks

May 22, 2015

The Labour Department has arranged for a meeting between Cathay Pacific management and union members to solve the airline's labour dispute.

Secretary for Labour & Welfare Matthew Cheung said today the airline's management has agreed to take part in the talks scheduled for May 27, and it is waiting for the labour union to confirm its attendance.

He called on both sides to settle disputes through dialogue and negotiation, and to take public interest into account.
