Secretary for Education Eddie Ng yesterday visited the Free University of Berlin, one of Germany's largest universities, before concluding his three-day duty visit to the country.
Mr Ng and his delegation noted that to encourage its students and graduates to launch their own companies, the university has set up a centre for company founders that offers young entrepreneurs office space and support during their start-up phase, paving the way for the development of their businesses.
Mr Ng also visited the Akademie Berlin-Schmockwitz, which functions as a four-star hotel with its own hotel management school.
He said young people can pave their own way to success by setting clear goals based on their ability and interest, and by making appropriate choices - whether it be academic or vocational education.
The delegates' next stop is Switzerland.
