Secretary for Education Eddie Ng will lead a delegation on a five-day duty visit to Germany and Switzerland tomorrow.
The group, which consists of members from the vocational training and education sector, will visit Heidelberg University, the Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main, Berlin Free University and the Akademie Berlin-Schmöckwitz Training Centre in Berlin.
They will also call on the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Berlin and exchange views with Federal Ministry of Education & Research officials.
The delegates will then fly to Bern, Switzerland where they will visit the Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education & Training, as well as a telecoms enterprise.
The last day of their trip will include visits to the professors at the Zurich University of the Arts, and the KV Zurich Business School, as well as an electronic and high-tech enterprise.
Mr Ng will also talk to senior officials at the State Secretariat for Education, Research & Innovation in Bern.
He will return to Hong Kong on November 8. Under Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung will be the Acting Secretary for Education in Mr Ng's absence.
