Education chief urges road clearance

October 09, 2014

Secretary for Education Eddie Ng said today that students must allow extra time for their journeys to school and appealed to the protesters to unblock major traffic routes as soon as possible.

Kindergarten classes in Wanchai and Central & Western districts resumed today. Speaking after attending an event, Mr Ng thanked teachers and parents for their understanding and coordination efforts during the class suspensions.

He noted that student safety is a priority, which is why his bureau decided to allow kindergartens, primary and secondary schools to resume classes gradually.
