Secretary for Labour & Welfare Matthew Cheung has called on employers not to influence their staff’s decision on whether or not to participate in the signature campaign being held by the Alliance for Peace & Democracy in Hong Kong.

Speaking to the media today, he said he will sign the alliance’s petition, and urged employers to respect their employees’ choice in the matter.

He said employers should not force staff to take part in the campaign, adding all signatures should be provided voluntarily.
