The Labour Department will hold a job fair at Kin Choi Community Hall in Tseung Kwan O from July 16 to 18 from 11am to 5.30pm, offering about 5,300 vacancies.
The first day of the fair will offer retail industry vacancies, and the next two days will offer vacancies from catering, property management and transport industries.
Sixty-nine organisations will participate, and twenty-three of them will set up counters and hold daily on-the-spot recruitment.
Jobs on offer include store manager trainee, salesperson, customer services executive, waiter/waitress, shop assistant, kitchen helper, technician, security guard, driver, storekeeper, personal care worker, cleaner and others. Job seekers can find more information on the department's website.
About 80% of the vacancies are full-time jobs, and most offer monthly salaries ranging from $8,000 to $15,000. More than 95% of the vacancies require no education higher than secondary six, and more than half are open to job seekers with no relevant experience.
Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. They can also register for employment services at the Labour Department counter.
