Vocational education group unveiled

The Government today announced the establishment of the Task Force on Promotion of Vocational Education with Roy Chung as its chairman.

 

The group will advise the Secretary for Education on strategies to raise community awareness and recognition of vocational education.

 

It will study local and international practices, and may consult key stakeholders and engage professional services if needed.

 

It will submit a report to the secretary within a year.

 

The Chief Executive announced in the 2014 Policy Address the setting up of a task force to promote vocational education.

 

The group’s members include Michael Chan, Francis Cheng, Edmond Cheng, Kenneth Fok, Esther Ho, Miranda Leung, William Leung, Matthias Li, Shirley Loo, Lung Tak-yee, Perry Mak, Mak Yiu-kwong, Tai Keen-man, Carrie Willis, Billy Wong and Carrie Yau.
