Education chief to visit Korea

Secretary for Education Eddie Ng will visit Korea tomorrow to meet Ministry of Education officials and academics to exchange views on kindergarten education and information technology in education.
 
He will visit kindergartens, an elementary school and the Ewha Womans University to see the latest kindergarten education and e-textbooks developments in Korea.
 
Mr Ng will visit the Seoul Early Childhood Education & Development Institute, and the Seoul Education Research & Information Institute's Centre for Supporting Teaching & Learning, the Korea Education & Research Information Service, and Samsung Electronics.
 
He will also brief Hong Kong students and local business leaders on the latest developments in Hong Kong.
 
Mr Ng will return to Hong Kong on June 1, and Under Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung will be Acting Secretary for Education during his absence.
