Fire academy to hold open day

July 03, 2017

The Fire & Ambulance Services Academy in Tseung Kwan O will hold an open day on August 6 as part of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s 20th anniversary celebrations.

The open day will give the public a better understanding of the Fire Services Department’s work and training.

Visitors will see a fire appliances parade, firefighting and rescue demonstrations, and a simulation of Pak Shing Kok railway station.

The Fire & Ambulance Services Education Centre & Museum will be open to the public, and there will be displays of training facilities, fire services equipment and special vehicles, along with game booths and a dog demonstration.

The open day will run from 9am to 4pm.

More than 6,000 admission tickets will be distributed free to the public from July 8. Each person can obtain a maximum of two tickets at the Sheung Wan, Wong Tai Sin or Sha Tin fire stations, or the academy.
