Eligible non-permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macau can use the automated immigration clearance service of the other party for immigration clearance after enrolment from December 12.
The move is to provide greater immigration convenience for non-permanent residents of both places and enhance their exchange, the Immigration Department said.
People who wish to use the service must be aged 11 or above and enrol at designated locations.
The service is free of charge.
