Beaut recruits:  Commissioner on Interception of Communications & Surveillance Azizul Rahman Suffiad inspects Police recruits.

Forty-two probationary inspectors and 252 recruit constables graduated from the Police College today.

Commissioner on Interception of Communications & Surveillance Azizul Rahman Suffiad inspected the passing-out parade and told the recruits Hong Kong’s stability depends on the rule of law.

A good, effective and efficient police force helps to ensure law enforcement, which is essential for the courts to apply the rule of law.

He added the force has earned a respectable reputation for the way in which it combats and investigates crime.

"For the Hong Kong Police Force to continue to enjoy its reputation as being Asia’s finest, the tradition and culture, the honour and the integrity of the force will have to be maintained and passed on unfailingly from one generation to the next of succeeding policemen."

He encouraged the graduates to maintain Hong Kong's law and order.
