The 11th symposium on police studies was held at Police Headquarters from November 8 to 10.
About 150 delegates, including police officers and scholars from the Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, took part.
They discussed topics such as cyber crime, telecommunication fraud, commercial crime, dangerous drugs, and counter terrorism strategies.
Twenty-eight research papers were presented at the symposium and 81 research papers were included in the symposium journal.
The delegates also visited various Police units, including the School of Foundation Training, the Police Dog Unit, the Key Points & Search Division, the Marine Regional Headquarters, and the Police Driving & Traffic Training Centre.
The symposium has been held annually since 2006. Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and different Mainland cities take turns to co-host it.
