The Immigration Department is assisting four Hong Kong people in Germany, Secretary for Security TK Lai says.
A mass shooting occurred in a Munich shopping centre last night causing serious casualties.
Mr Lai told reporters today the Government is monitoring the situation and the four Hong Kong people say they are safe.
The department will maintain close contact with them to provide assistance.
Mr Lai reminded Hong Kong people in Germany to attend to personal safety and avoid protests and large gatherings.
