The Security Bureau issued an Amber Outbound Travel Alert on Germany today in view of the situation in the country.
People planning to visit Germany or already there should monitor the situation, exercise caution, attend to personal safety, avoid travelling to places where people gather and pay attention to local authorities’ advice.
The bureau will monitor the situation and issue updates through the media, its app and webpage.
People who need assistance while in Germany can call the Immigration Department hotline (852) 1868 or contact the Chinese Embassy on (49) 173 617 1063.
Hong Kong residents are also encouraged to use the Registration of Outbound Travel Information service to receive useful information.
