Police are investigating a homicide and arson case in Western District today in which two men, a woman and a girl died.
About 1.40am, Police received reports that a fire erupted in a Kwun Lung Lau flat and a man fell from the unit.
Police found the man who was found lying on the podium and was certified dead at the scene. He was later confirmed to be the 26-year-old resident of the unit.
They then found two charred bodies in the unit after the fire was put out. They were a 26-year-old woman and her three-year-old daughter.
A charred male body was found in another unit and was later confirmed to be the 63-year-old resident.
Initial post-mortem examination results revealed that the 63-year-old man, the woman and the girl died of extensive burns, while the 26-year-old man died of multiple injuries caused by falling from a height.
