Three Nepalese illegal workers were jailed for 22 months and two weeks by Sha Tin Magistracy yesterday.
Immigration Department officers arrested three Nepalese men, aged 22 to 33, during a raid in Yuen Long last September.
They were driving a forklift and dismantling electronic parts at a recycling depot.
The men are non-refoulement claimants holding an immigration recognisance form prohibiting them from working.
They were all charged for taking up employment while being a person who remains in Hong Kong without the authority of the Director of Immigration after having landed in Hong Kong unlawfully or being a person in respect of whom a removal order was in force.
