Around 500 Civil Aid Service officers and members have successfully completed this year's exercise to test and assess their search and rescue skills, equipment operating skills, incident management ability and overall operational efficiency.
It also tested their efficiency in emergency culling chickens at local farms during an avian influenza outbreak and required staff to follow the prescribed procedures for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment.
The exercise included simulations of landslide, flood and mountain search and rescues, as well as tree clearance, casualty evacuation and poultry culling.
The service may refine the training programmes and operational procedures based on the exercise reports and recommendations.
