Police raise anti-burglary awareness

May 26, 2016

The Police began a three-day campaign on Hong Kong Island yesterday to raise public awareness of burglaries.

Officers and District Fight Crime Committee members went out into the community to distribute leaflets on how to prevent burglaries.

Speaking to reporters today, Peak Sub-Divisional Commander Chan Shuk-ping said burglaries in the Peak District are on the rise and that officers will boost patrols and engage the community in fighting crime.

Officers also carried out air patrols with the Government Flying Service, while Police Tactical Unit and Emergency Unit officers conducted rural patrols to prevent and combat burglaries.
