Twenty-eight probationary inspectors and 259 recruit constables graduated from the Police College today.
Community Chest Executive Committee Chairman Peter Wong inspected the passing-out parade, encouraging the graduates to work out the best feasible solutions according to their professional knowledge and experience in the ever-changing social and political environment.
"The solutions may not be perfect, but are the best or the ones with the lowest adverse impacts under a host of constraints."
He reminded the officers that all their words and deeds might affect people's livelihood.
Noting they will face a lot of challenges when performing their duties, he urged them to see it as motivation to unleash their potential.
