Mainland 'overage children' whose natural parents obtained their first Hong Kong identity cards on or before December 31, 1991, can apply for one-way permits to reunite with their parents from January 18, 2016, the Ministry of Public Security announced today.
 
The Security Bureau said it will liaise closely with Mainland authorities on the application progress and entry arrangements for the children.
