The Government is liaising with the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Embassy in France, the Hong Kong Consulate General of France and the Travel Industry Council to understand the latest situation concerning the serious attacks in Paris.
The Security Bureau is monitoring the situation and developments, and will issue updates through the media and the Bureau's outbound travel alert webpage.
The Immigration Department’s Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit has not received any assistance request so far, but has issued messages through the Registration of Outbound Travel Information service to remind residents to contact the unit.
Hong Kong residents who need assistance while outside Hong Kong cancall the 24-hour hotline, (852) 1868, or contact the consular protection hotline for the Chinese Embassy in France, (33) 615742537.
The Government urges residents in the city to attend to their personal safety, exercise caution, stay in safe areas and pay attention to local authorities' announcements.
