The Customs & Excise Department has won the award for Outstanding Public & Private Partnership in the Fight against Counterfeiting by Interpol's International Intellectual Property Crime Investigators College.
The award recognises the department's work against intellectual property rights crime.
It is the second award received by the department in two years, in addition to the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Award from the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group in 2014.
The department has partnered with the industry to monitor the piracy and counterfeiting situation in the market, formulate strategic plans, and educate people on the importance of intellectual property rights protection.
