2 injured in Taiwan fire assisted

June 29, 2015

The Immigration Department today helped two Hong Kong residents injured in a fire in Taiwan to leave for medical treatment.

One of them returned to Hong Kong this afternoon, while the other will be sent to Shanghai tonight for medical treatment as requested by her family.

The immigration officers sent to Taiwan yesterday will continue to visit the remaining three citizens injured in Taiwan and help their families.

Hong Kong residents who need help when abroad can call the department's 24-hour hotline on (852)1868.
