5 HK people in Taiwan fire

The Immigration Department today sent officers to Taiwan to help Hong Kong people injured in last night's fire in New Taipei City.

 

The department is liaising with the Hong Kong Economic, Trade & Cultural Office (Taiwan) (HKETCO) to get the latest information.

 

Up to 3.30pm, five Hong Kong residents have been confirmed to have been hurt in the fire.

 

The department has contacted the families of the injured and will assist according to their wishes and situation.

 

It will continue contact with HKETCO and the families to monitor the situation and offer any aid required.
