Secretary for Security TK Lai visited Wong Tai Sin this afternoon to inspect the community elderly and youth services there, and listen to local views on law and order issues.
Mr Lai met with Wong Tai Sin District Council members and other district personalities before proceeding to Ho Fu Neighbourhood Centre for Senior Citizens, sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen, to learn about the variety of services provided by the centre.
He watched a music and dance performance by some of the centre's members and was pleased to learn they enjoy participating in group activities and community work.
Mr Lai then went to the Choi Wan Rhenish Integrated Children & Youth Services Centre where he was briefed on the centre's youth services.
He chatted with young people there and urged them to stay away from drugs. He also encouraged them to make good use of their leisure time with healthy activities to benefit their growth and development.
