SJ open to all views

May 03, 2015

Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen says he is happy to meet people with different political views during his district visits to promote the Government's electoral reform plan.

He made the statement during a promotion drive in Aberdeen today.

He told reporters he does not mind meeting people opposed to the Government's constitutional proposal.

He said it is understandable people have different views on the proposal for electing the Chief Executive by universal suffrage.

He said he hopes to have more opportunities to communicate with opponents of the plan to rationally exchange opinions.

He urged people with different views to be rational and pragmatic, and not disrupt social order.
