Police have arrested a truck driver after his vehicle reportedly struck and killed a pedestrian in Western District.
A 57-year-old man was crossing Des Voeux Road West near Wilmer Street when he was hit by the truck just after 10am.
He was sent to Queen Mary Hospital where he later died.
The 39-year-old driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.
Witnesses should call Police on 3106 8838.
