The Regional Anti-drug Expert Group Meeting has been held in Hong Kong for the first time.
The Customs & Excise Department and the World Customs Organisation Asia Pacific Vice-Chair - the Royal Malaysian Customs Department - co-hosted the two-day event which ended today.
It provided a platform for regional experts to discuss and formulate enforcement strategies to tackle the drug issue.
More than 40 representatives from 18 customs administrations and enforcement agencies, as well as the World Customs Organisation’s regional intelligence and capacity building offices, attended the meeting.
Commissioner of Customs & Excise Clement Cheung officiated at the opening ceremony.
