The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department seized about 60 kilograms of smuggled worked ivory at the Chek Lap Kok Air Mail Centre on Lantau Island on February 10 and 16.
Quarantine detector dogs helped the officers to find the ivory inside 12 parcels from Nigeria.
The investigation continues.
Any person found guilty of trading in endangered species for commercial purposes is liable to a $5 million fine and two years in prison.
