A 57-year-old taxi driver was killed and a 57-year-old bus driver arrested for dangerous driving causing death in Tai Wai this evening.
At about 6pm, the bus was travelling along Tai Chung Kiu Road towards Ma On Shan, while a public light bus and a private car were travelling on the same road towards Tai Wai. When the bus driver turned right into Sha Kok Street, the four vehicles collided.
Another bus passing by was hit by debris.
The taxi driver sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where he later died.
Twelve men and seven women, aged nine to 79, were also hurt. They were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital and Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital for treatment.
