The Central Government has decided the Agreement for the Establishment of the International Anti-Corruption Academy as an International Organisation, which came into force for China on November 15, is also applicable to Hong Kong.
The decision was taken after seeking the views of the Hong Kong Government, the Administration Wing said today.
The academy will develop the study of anti-corruption theories and provide anti-graft training and education, enhancing the ability of international corruption-fighting institutions to combat graft.
The agreement was concluded in Vienna in 2010 and is open for signature by United Nations members and intergovernmental organisations. It took effect in 2011.
