Police condemn Mong Kok protest

Police have strongly condemned protesters illegally occupying a section of southbound lanes of Nathan Road in Mong Kok.

 

They are attempting to also occupy northbound lanes of Nathan Road and are charging Police cordons.

 

Police warned protesters to stop charging Police, and added that such acts are seriously undermining public order and safety.

 

Police have given repeated advice and warnings, and have used pepper spray to get people to stop such acts.

 

It appealed to people to stay calm and use restraint, and leave the scene. People should not go to the protest site.

 

Police said it will take resolute enforcement action against any illegal acts endangering public order and public safety.
