A six-member delegation from the European Union visited the Immigration Department from October 13 to 16.
It was led by Frontex, an agency assisting EU member states and countries within the Schengen area in enhancing their border control and in the implementation of automated immigration clearance services.
The delegation met Director of Immigration Chan Kwok-ki and inspected facilities including the e-Channel services at Hong Kong International Airport, Lok Ma Chau Control Point and Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point.
The department’s officers explained the implementation of the e-Channel service.
