Taxi driver killed in Kwai Chung collision

A 51-year-old taxi driver has died after his taxi collided with a car in Kwai Chung. Two men in the car were arrested for failing to take a breath test.

 

The accident happened at about 11pm, on Lai King Hill Road. The taxi was travelling towards Kwai Chung when it collided with the car travelling in the opposite direction near Kwai Fuk Road.

 

Firefighters rescued the taxi driver who was trapped inside his car. He was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital where he died around 1:30am.

 

Two men in the car, aged 38 and 42, were also injured and sent to Princess Margaret Hospital. Police arrested them when they refused to provide a breath specimen.
