Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen will lead a delegation of 80 legal and arbitration professionals to attend the Hong Kong Legal Services Forum in Qingdao from September 15 to 17.
The forum will highlight the vital role Hong Kong plays as a legal and dispute resolution centre, and outline the assistance its professionals can provide to Mainland enterprises that are "going global".
Mr Yuen will speak at the forum's opening on September 16 and meet with the local Korean and Japanese business community to promote Hong Kong's arbitration and mediation services.
The Department of Justice co-organises the biennial forum with the Trade Development Council, the Law Society, the Bar Association, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (Asia Office), and the China International Economic & Trade Arbitration Commission Hong Kong Arbitration Centre.
Mr Yuen will also meet with officials from the Qingdao Municipal Government, Justice Bureau and Intermediate People's Court.
