The large-scale promotional campaign against football gambling led by the Ping Wo Fund Advisory Committee has concluded with about 290,000 people participating in more than 100 activities.
Co-organised by the Home Affairs Bureau and Police, the campaign promoted anti-gambling messages through a series of activities at district level and in schools across the city during the World Cup 2014 period.
More than 70 partner organisations supported the campaign.
The bureau said the Government will continue to adopt a multi-pronged approach to prevent and alleviate problems relating to gambling.
People can call the Ping Wo Fund Gambling Counselling Hotline 183 4633 for assistance, or Police hotline 2727 7887 to report illegal gambling.
